On this Easter Sunday, I want you to hear from our friend Dan Hinkson. Dan is between jobs and an active participant in The Joseph Project. You will be blessed by his Easter message to his friends who are between jobs…
We all have various needs, and we have prayed together for the many who have come to The Joseph Project. Sometimes it is impossible to see the Lord’s timing and purposes for some of the trials and difficulties we walk through, from the limited perspective we have. I want to encourage you to do your best to stand strong in faith, on the promises of the Bible and the Risen Lord. This Easter weekend, please read through, meditate, contemplate, munch on, Matthew 27-28 and Luke 22-24. Allow your spirit to “soar” with the wonderful reality that as saved believers, we are safe in His care, whether “in green pastures and beside still waters, or in the valley of the shadow.” (Ps 23). Whether the pantry is full, half full, or empty.
Sometimes we must find our strength to be strong and faithful during difficult times in the closet alone with God…other times together in larger groups such as church…sometimes with just a few others. Confess and pray His Word and promises often…repeatedly, crying out to the Lord believing He’s going to take care of us as He has promised and thanking Him in advance for what He is going to do. I’m not going to let the rocks praise Him for me. I’m going to use my God-given breath to do that, with gratitude, by faith. We know this time in our lives will not last forever, it’s not the final chapter…He has a purpose for our lives. It’s an opportunity to exercise faith during a trial. (James 1:2-4)
I ask you to pray for those in our circle who really need work and direction; some are really hurting, humbled, on a lot of different levels. We know it can affect…$, relationships, self image, etc. I know you are under pressures, and want to assure you that you WILL make it. We are praying on your behalf. You do the same for us. Prayer causes things to happen that otherwise wouldn’t happen. I pray for your peace, freedom, joy, faith, and WORK/JOB for you! Finally, let’s thank the Lord for those among our ranks who already have gone back to work! Our time is coming.
Thank you…you are a real blessing in my life and to many.
