Can you believe it is September? For me, September equals Fall. Which means we have a new season of life emerging. School starts, football starts, and work kicks into a new gear.
I like new beginnings. It motivates me to have a fresh start. To launch into new things, as well as refocusing on certain things I didn’t do as well previously.
There are two new beginnings I want to share with today! Both can benefit your September in a powerful way.
First, make sure you plug into our new fall season of Eight-to-Five Unplugged! We have two new locations, a great speaker in Ms. Elise Mitchell, and some format changes intended to help you go deeper in your relationships and faith/work journey. You can register today at www.workmatters.org.
Second, following our “31 Days of Proverbs and Prayers” blogging in July, we received so much positive encouragement to keep blogging! We have decided to do just that. Rather than have you receive a post everyday, we will blog periodically during the week. You can also look forward to guest bloggers sharing their faith and work stories and equipping!
The Bible is so powerful when we let it be! See these strong words of encouragement for this season of new beginnings:
2 for attaining wisdom and discipline;
for understanding words of insight;
3 for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life,
doing what is right and just and fair;
4 for giving prudence to the simple,
knowledge and discretion to the young-
5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
and let the discerning get guidance-
6 for understanding proverbs and parables,
the sayings and riddles of the wise.
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Proverbs 1:2-7
